Blessed Persistence by 16 Horsepower
This song would have fit well on the last album, however this tune builds intensity less by heavy electric guitar work and more by the sparseness and tone of the song itself. The song is a recognition of Edwards own confession of not being faithful to God and yet God’s spirit sanctifying him regardless. Blessed persistence of God under his skin. Some amazing imagery there. Easily one of 16 Horsepower’s best songs.
