Your Russia (Without Hands) by Wovenhand
A good portion of this album are longer, redone versions of songs from their self-titled debut. I was struggling between picking this one or Animalitos (Ain’t No Sunshine) as my selection for today because both of these songs are amazing examples of Wovenhand’s ability to change the sentiments present in their own songs and to, in fact, make them even more suffocating and creepy. I ended up picking this song, both, because it was a heavier rock version of the original and because the Animalitos was nearing 15 minutes and Tumblr won’t allow a download over 10 mb. So enjoy this song and buy the album to enjoy the other, because they are equal in my eyes.
